ACER GINNALA” FLAM”:
FLAME AMURETREE FORM

The Acer ginnala “Flam” is a form of the Amur Maple tree which is native to northeastern Asia. This particular variety is notable for its fiery-red fall foliage that resembles flames, hence its name.

The Acer ginnala “Flam” is a small tree or large shrub that typically grows to a height of 20-25 feet with a spread of 15-20 feet. It has a rounded crown with a dense branching structure and smooth, grayish-brown bark.

During spring and summer, the leaves are medium green, glossy, and have a serrated margin. They turn to a brilliant shade of scarlet, orange, and yellow in autumn, providing a spectacular display of color.

In addition to its beautiful fall foliage, the Acer ginnala “Flam” also produces clusters of small, fragrant, creamy-white flowers in spring, which are followed by red, winged seed pods that persist into winter.

This tree tolerates a wide range of soil types and prefers a full sun to partial shade position. It is also relatively tolerant of drought, pollution, and urban conditions, making it an ideal tree for small gardens, patios, and urban landscapes.
